8 reasons why Canada isn’t such a bad place to own guns

1) Shoulder pistols that have stabilizing braces makes you a criminal

Did you know that it is a federal felony offense to shoulder any pistol that has a shoulder brace or butt stock? In January of 2015, the BATFE released an open letter that outlawed the practice of shouldering stabilization braces.

That practice, according to the BATFE, “redesigns” the brace and instantly converts the pistol it is attached to into a Short-Barreled Rifle. You can use it for a cheek weld. You can strap it to your arm for better recoil control, but don’t you dare put it against your shoulder! If you want to do that, you have to file SBR paperwork and pay an extra $200.

And that’s why Canada is not so bad a place to own guns!

Sure, Canada’s gun laws are far from perfect and Americans can get some really cool things. But at the end of the day even the US has stupid gun laws and we’re better off than a great number of Americans, like those in California and New York. Let’s just be thankful we’re not in Japan.
